One day in Venice

Is an island full of canals and boats called "gondole". Yes i'm talking about Venice! I grew up here in Italy but i never had the opportunity to visit this beautiful city. Only once that you have seen it you can say that is unique in its style.

Forget your bike, car, metro or bus. People here used to walk a lot and if they are too lazy for it they use the "vaporetto"( water bus). Street here are called "calle" and they are so small and narrow. I know seems that i'm describing a ghetto, but trust me is totally different. Getting lost here are very easy but at the same time beautiful.

Every part of this city has little bridges, one more beautiful than others. In fact i took picture in every bridges that i passed through! The most famous is the Rialto, unfortunately was under construction so i couldn't see its majesty.

Of course i have visited also the main square: Piazza San Marco, where is also Basilica di San Marco. Inside of it you can see stunning mosaics, but since the line was so long i surrendered and went to do some shopping.

To finish the awesome day i ate a big gelato :)

E' una isola piena di canali e barche chiamate "gondole". Sì sto parlando di Venezia! Sono cresciuto qui in Italia ma non ho mai avuto la possibilità di visitare questa bellissima città. Solo una volta che lo hai vista puoi dire che è unica nel suo stile.

Dimenticati della bici, macchina, metro o bus. La gente qui cammina tanto e se sono troppo pigri usano il vaporetto. Le strade sono chiamate "calle" e sono piccole e strette. Lo so sembra che stia descrivendo un ghetto, ma fidatevi è completamente diverso. Perdersi qui è facilissimo ma allo stesso tempo bellissimo.

Ogni parte della città ha piccoli ponti, uno più bello dell'altro. Infatti ho scattato foto in ogni ponte da cui sono passato! Il più famoso è il Rialto, purtroppo era in restauro così non ho potuto vedere la sua maestà.

Ovviamente ho visitato anche la piazza principale: Piazza San Marco, dove c'è anche la Basilica di San Marco. All'interno si possono ammirare i fantastici mosaici, ma dato che la fila era troppo lunga mi sono arreso e ho fatto un po' di shopping.

Per finire la bellissima giornata ho mangiato una grande gelato :)
